MEGARACER
In a cyberpunk world that makes no chronological sense, The One Eyed Snake must overtake the Shark in an eccentric street race. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Rookie challenges The Master Baiter to the bet of a lifetime. - In March of 2022, I had the opportunity to co-direct a movie I also co-wrote with a friend of mine called Megaracer. After a few months of sitting on what we thought was the final edit of that film, producer Lucas Strunc began work on a cut of it that trimmed some of the fat in the existing edit, touched up the coloring, and added a few gags. When I saw it, I was excited by the prospect of revisiting Megaracer and doing more with the existing material, and joined him in putting the rest together, taking the opportunity to redo some things about the original audio mix I wasn't entirely thrilled with. In the end, I hope this revision is a little bit more enjoyable to watch—it's certainly a much better example of our work. - Shot the weekend of 3/18/22 by Rough Cut Collective at Ohio University. Written and Directed by Turner Burton and Quinn Bennett Shot by Nick Thompson Produced by Lucas Strunc Re-cut in late 2022 and early 2023 by Lucas Strunc with additional post audio done by Turner Burton Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Through the Lens (Mini Documentary)
I interviewed the Society of Photographic Illustrators' (SPI) advisor, Russell James, to get a better idea of what it is like to be a professional photographer. All footage is shot on the fourth-floor studio in Schoonover Center during the first SPI studio night of the 2020-2021 school year, following a long hiatus due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. I'd like to thank Russell and all attendees for allowing me to film them for this project! (And a huge thanks to my mom and my partner, Eli, for helping me pick up and carry around extra equipment. That was very much appreciated!) Project for MDIA 2700: Video and Audio Field Production at Ohio University. Shot on a Canon EOS 77D (10mm & 18-125mm) using split lighting with tungsten head for interview segments. Audio captured on H4N Zoom Recorder and synced in post. Synced and edited (color, sound) in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Life During a Pandemic (Documentary)
A documentary film made for MDIA 1020 - Media and the Creative Process. In this short documentary, I describe how the COVID-19 pandemic has shaped my world, both negatively and positively. As awful as it has been, there is always a bright side to every situation, and it's my goal to highlight those bright moments in this short piece. Enjoy!
